No Experience Is Wasted

One thing life has taught me very clearly: no experience is wasted.

Long before the work I do today, I was a pastor. That chapter of my life served its purpose. It taught me about people, about belief, about struggle, and about the deep questions people carry but rarely speak out loud.

But the truth is, that role stopped being aligned for me many years ago.

And when something stops being aligned, you have a responsibility to acknowledge it. Not decorate it. Not cling to it because it’s familiar. You move.

That’s growth.

The lessons from that time never left me. They shaped the way I guide people today. Nothing was wasted. Not a single step.

Too many people stay loyal to identities that expired years ago because they’re afraid to change direction. But alignment isn’t about comfort or approval. Alignment is about truth.

Sometimes growth simply means being honest enough to say,
“This chapter served me… but it’s no longer where I belong.”

That’s not failure.

That’s evolution.

Remember, everything has its season and every season is a teacher.
